Week Nineteen

April 8, 2013 by Aliesha

Well that week went by fast!  I don’t feel like I have a lot to report.  I’m feeling great and my belly is expanding to make room for our baby boy!  My belly button actually popped out weeks ago.  It took forever with Vera’s pregnancy and a pretty long time with Cordelia’s, but I think after this pregnancy it might just stay popped out, haha.

This past week three different friends have given me clothes that their kids have outgrown.  What a blessing! We’re starting a collection of blue clothes. 🙂

Still haven’t decided on a name, but we’re thinking about it!

Week Eighteen

April 2, 2013 by Aliesha

I’m a little behind posting this, but I’m at 18 weeks with this pregnancy now!  I love this photo of me & Tad from Easter Sunday.

In case you missed the announcement last week, Baby #3 is a BOY!  We’re very excited.  Vera talks about her “little brother” and I know she’ll be such a good big sister to him.

I’m feeling great!  I helped install a wood laminate floor in our kitchen over the weekend, so I can add that to the list of house projects I’ve done while pregnant.

I know it doesn’t look like I’m showing much in this picture, but I am really popping out more.  It’s fun!

Thank you for continuing to pray for our Baby Boy!

Gender Reveal

March 26, 2013 by Aliesha

Yesterday we had our ultrasound and we got to see our precious new baby!

Baby Punkin’s heart rate was 157.

Punkin did not stop moving for the entire ultrasound!  We saw at least three complete somersaults, as well as very wiggly arms and legs.  The ultrasound technician could not believe how active Punkin was!  (Oh boy, are we in for it!)  We even got a few waves!

Baby seems totally healthy… all organs are present and functioning as best as they can tell.  We are thankful!

Wanna see a picture?

And here’s one of the waves.

So sweet, right!?!

After the appointment, I went shopping!

Because…

…we’re going to need some blue outfits around here!

Baby Punkin is a he!

He is the third grandchild, and first grandson, on my family’s side.

He is the sixth grandchild on Tad’s side (tying it up between boys and girls).

Vera is very excited about her baby brother.  We asked her several times the morning of the ultrasound whether the baby inside Mommy was a boy or a girl.  She said “boy” every time!

Tad is excited that he won’t be so outnumbered anymore.  🙂  He loves his three girls, but he is very excited to have a SON too!

For those of you who are mothers of a boy or boys, what is your favorite thing about having a son?
