On Sunday, Jude turned one month old! We were out of town, so I’m catching up on posting about it.
In some ways, the month has gone by quickly, but in other ways it has been long! Around 2.5-3 weeks, Jude went through a growth spurt wherein he nursed almost constantly around the clock. It was really hard, especially at night! After a few nights of hourly feedings (so, being woken up approximately every 45 minutes), I thought I was going to go crazy! Around the 3.5 week mark, he started to sleep better, and now, at 4 weeks, he is sleeping GREAT! We have a really good daytime routine and a bedtime ritual we follow every night, and I know that has helped him sleep so well (also lots of prayers!).

Some milestones:
-loves to eat (nurses around 10 times a day)
-slept a record 7 hours last night, but has been sleeping 4-5 hours most nights lately, followed by another 3 hour stretch
-has now traveled to Virginia
-seems to see us better and study our faces more
-starting to have better head/neck support
-turns his head to respond to our voices
-likes being swaddled at night
-likes his bath
-enjoys cuddling while napping, though often naps in his crib too
-wears 3 month clothing
-wears size 1 diapers
-is completely adored by both of his big sisters
-everyone says he looks like Tad
We are so enamored with our darling Jude! We are very thankful God has blessed our family with this sweet boy… he is such a gift!
