We were so blessed to have Angela (my sister-in-law) and Drew (my nephew) stay with us a few days this week after Vera’s party.
We had a great time together! (P.S. I love this picture of the two of them!)

We have something exciting to share!
Can you guess what it might be?
I bet you probably can. ๐
We are simply thrilled…
…that…
in February(ish)…
…a new member will be joining
our family!!!
Yes… we are expecting again!
We are grateful to God for this new blessing.
A few FAQ’s…
How far along are you?
About twelve weeks! The picture above was taken at eleven weeks.
How have you been feeling?
Pretty sick, actually, though not nearly as sick as I was with Vera. With that pregnancy, I had trouble keeping water down and had to go on Zofran. This time, I have been nauseous but have kept everything down. I feel pretty good in the mornings, but I get sicker as the day goes on. I’ve been trying to snack a lot because I know hunger can make me feel sicker, and I also do not skip meals no matter how badly I am feeling. I have also discovered that almonds are a great snack that help reduce nausea!
Have you been to the doctor?
Yes, I have been to see my midwife once. The appointment wasn’t terribly exciting, since they didn’t do an ultrasound and it was too early to hear the heartbeat with the Doppler. We’re hoping to hear our little one’s heartbeat in a week at our next appointment!
Why did you wait so long to tell people?
We have had a lot of difficult things going on at our church lately and thought it was wise to wait to make our announcement. It was hard to keep the secret so long, especially since I think I’m already looking a little “poochy,” haha, but I think we did the right thing.
Are you going to find out if it is a boy or a girl?
Probably yes. I think that appointment will be in late September.
Do you have any names picked out?
No, not yet. For now, we’re calling this one “Baby Mango.” ๐
Thank you for praying for us and our baby-on-the-way!
P.S. Here I was at eleven weeks with Vera.
