(Should have posted this yesterday. Whoops. It’s been a crazy week…)
Cordelia Mae is now six months old! She is already halfway to her first birthday.

Here are some milestones:
-just got over her first illness (she had a little bug this week)
-weighs about 18.5 pounds (in perspective: Vera was 18 pounds at 12 months!)
-loves to cuddle
-is “scootching” across the floor/bed (it won’t be long til she is crawling!)
-sucks on her fist/thumb/fingers
-sleeps on her tummy
-has her hair still, but it is getting lighter and lighter
-holds toys and reaches out and grabs what she doesn’t have
-nurses 8-ish times a day (but she’s speedy… 5 minutes!)
-hasn’t been sleeping super-well at night lately, but I think it’s because of the sickness she had
-takes 3 naps a day usually
-thinks her big sister is hilarious
-is almost sitting up by herself (can sit for a wobbly 5 seconds or so)
-is teething (?)
-loves taking baths (she splashes and has a great ol’ time!)
-is just happy and easy going all the time!
Dear Cordelia,
How glad I am that God gave you to us six months ago! I am also glad that He gave you such a calm, easy-going personality. You are a joy to be around and everyone is always telling me what a good baby you are.
This week I got to cuddle you more than usual since you were sick. While those days were hard, I will always be thankful for the extra moments I had to hold you, rock you, and take care of you. I am so glad you seem to be feeling better today.
You are growing and developing so much right now, and I am afraid if I blink I’ll miss another important moment. I still keep thinking you are my tiny baby, but when I saw an actual newborn this week, I realized how big you are and how much you can do. You will be crawling before I know it, and you will be keeping up with your big sister in no time.
Your Daddy and I love you so very much and we are blessed to be your parents!
Love always,
Mommy & Daddy

Before Mimi left last week, we wanted to get some pictures of her and the girls. One of the two girls is quite a wiggle-worm! The first one actually was one of the best!

The other one of my girls is always smiling. ๐
Another “peeking” photo…
And a tea party!
Any tips for getting good pictures of wiggly almost-two-year-olds?
