Fall in Virginia

We spent some time in Virginia this last weekend attending a marriage conference (post on that coming soon) while my parents watched our girls!  Before we went over to the conference on Friday, we took a little walk at the park and enjoyed the gorgeous fall weather!

Vera really loves playgrounds now (especially slides and swings)!

 

Cordelia was so happy to be outside in the sunshine!

We don’t have a lot of fall colors down our way yet, so it was glorious to see all the orange, red, and yellow leaves in VA!

First Food

Cordelia recently started eating solid foods, and her first solid food experience was a hard boiled egg yolk (farm fresh)!

She wasn’t sure at first about the texture or the taste.

But after a while she got adjusted…

and enjoyed eating it!

Her ability to pick up small pieces of food is quite advanced.

 

Self-feeding is quite messy, but we feel like it’s worth it in the long run, as babies develop more independence in food selection and can better indicate when they are finished eating.

Cordelia has also tried avocado and banana (separately) on different days.

Pumpkin Patch Pretties

We took our girls to the pumpkin patch over the weekend.  The patch had the prettiest pumpkins!

Vera had such a great time running around and touching all the pumpkins.

The weather was lovely, so we enjoyed being outside!

Cordelia was happy as well and tasted a bit of grass (hehe).

I think she fit in quite well with the round pumpkins!

Vera ended up choosing a small pumpkin to take home. 

I had a terrible time deciding what pumpkin I wanted!  I ended up with two squatty ones (white and soft green).

I love making special memories like this!

They really do love each other!
