Here’s an easy, last-minute Christmas gift idea for you to make! (You don’t even have to be “crafty”!)
Vanilla Sugar Scrub
Combine 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, and 1 tsp. vanilla extract in a bowl. Stir well. Add enough olive oil to give it the texture of wet sand. Place the sugar scrub in small containers. (I used clean, dry baby food jars.) Decorate the containers as desired! (I used scrap paper for the lids and made labels with directions.)
Include these directions with your gifts: Rub a small amount of sugar scrub into hands for sixty seconds, then rinse with warm water.
I gave these to some of my girlfriends, as well as to Vera’s Sunday School/AWANA teachers.

I made alot of canned items this year. Apple pie in a jar, several different flavors of jams, homemade applesauce, etc. I have been working on them since this Summer, so it is nice to finally be able to give them as gifts! Your scrub jars are adorable!

Divine!! Made a batch today and modified from olive to sunflower oil and experimented. For a small Yankee Candle sized jar, I used 4 and half dessert spoons of white to same of brown sugar (I only made small jars but basically did 50/50 in jar) approx. 4 dessert spoons of oil and for a more soapy lather I added a dessert spoon (if that) of scented shower gel. I created a lemon one (with lemon shower gel), a vanilla coffee one (and put in tiny coffee jar) with a dessert spoon heaped of coffee granules (crushed to a powdery texture) and vanilla gel and a vanilla chocolate one (vanilla gel and a spoon of hot chocolate) all smell yummy!!

It will get dry before it goes “bad,” but the “expiration date” I would put on the bottom would be the date on your olive oil. But if it gets dry before you use it all, just mix in some more olive oil!
