We had a lovely Christmas together yesterday, and I hope you did as well! The girls had such a fun time anticipating the celebration of Jesus’ birthday. They loved the advent readings we did each day (Unwrapping the Greatest Gift by Ann Voskamp), and as we got closer to Christmas, they kept saying, “Jesus is coming soon!” They had a fun time shopping for one another and for Tad and me.
Christmas morning began early (a certain little one was up at 5:30…), and then was quite a blur of wrapping paper and pajama cuddles! We enjoyed a nice brunch, and the kids all had fun playing with their new toys.
Tad made duck for dinner for us, as well as kale sauteed with shallots. I made stuffing, Caesar salad, and stuffed mushrooms. We enjoyed the feast! After dinner we took all these pictures in front of the tree.
For more of our family’s Christmas day adventures, you can check out my Instagram account here. We shared over there about our sweet little candlelit Christmas Eve service that we had at home! Such beautiful memories I will never forget.
How was your Christmas? Did you stay home? Did you travel? We saw Tad’s family earlier in the month, and we’re celebrating with my family after Christmas this year, so we were home this week!
I hope your Christmas was fun, restful, and worshipful!
