This post is part of my ongoing series on hospitality.
Since God has been teaching my husband and me a lot about hospitality lately, we decided to be really intentional in April in showing hospitality to others. Here’s a little summary of some of the opportunities God gave us last month.
- I met a friend and her child at a park for some fellowship and play
- I took a meal to a friend who recently had a baby (menu: stuffed shells, homemade rolls, salad, assorted fruit, monster cookies, and cinnamon roll muffins)
- We had our youth group over for a hangout while they were on spring break (coffee house drinks, brownies, and monster cookies)
- We had a family over for dinner and fellowship (menu: ham, cheesy rice bake, green beans, homemade rolls, and double-chocolate chip cookies)
- We had a couple over for dinner and fellowship (menu: baked tacos, guacamole, chips, salsa, fruit salsa, and fudge)
- We had another couple over for dinner and fellowship (menu: stuffed shells, homemade garlic bread, salad with homemade creamy Italian dressing, and brownies)
- We had my family stay with us for a weekend (lots of great food, including beef shish kabobs and lemon-oregano chicken)
- We had an impromptu visit from one of our youth, who stayed for about an hour (gave him a chocolate cupcake)
- I had some ladies from my Bible study over for a time of fellowship (chocolate cupcakes, peanut butter cookies, chips, and jelly beans)
