Tad’s table is coming along beautifully! He has filled in all the holes with wood filler and has been diligently sanding it to give it a perfectly smooth finish. I’m sorry for the messy room in the picture! The final things remaining:
– give it one more good sanding
– wipe down with damp cloth
– spread out drop cloth on dining room floor
– move table into dining room
– paint first coat
– sand with fine steel wool
– paint second coat
– sand with fine steel wool
– paint third coat
We’re so pleased with how it has turned out so far! Looking forward to getting it painted and being able to start enjoying it! So proud of my hard-working husband.
Wow! That’s really great! Way to go, Tad! I think I have talked Jed into building us some bookshelves with some plans from Knock-off Wood. Thanks for the inspiration!
Angela,
Can’t wait to see the shelves Jed builds! They’ll be so nice to have for years to come.

You will love have all the space this long table provides. Very nice work Tad! I would love to see it when I come visit Andrea in the middle of June.
