Sometime in between last week and this week, my “nesting” instinct kicked into gear, and now I’m eagerly checking things off my to-do list! In the past week I washed the car seat, assembled the double stroller, assembled the rock ‘n’ play sleeper, got out some baby clothes, packed the baby’s hospital bag, ordered a new SD card for my camera, printed out my birth plan, got my essential oils for labor all ready to go, gathered my postpartum supplies, and made a list of everything else I want to buy and do in the next couple of weeks!
Oh, and we finally decided on names! We have first and middle names picked out for a boy and for a girl. Good thing, since some pretty weird names were starting to sound good to me. Cordelia’s most recent suggestion was “Ice Cream,” so let’s all be glad we didn’t turn the naming rights over to the three-year-old.
I’ve been reading Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth, which has been so helpful and encouraging so far. I plan on trying to finish reading it before the birth.
I forgot how puffy my face gets toward the end of my pregnancies. Thankfully it goes back to normal eventually! Ha!
Have any of you gone into labor with your babies on a full moon? There’s a full moon the day after my due date, so I’m wondering if that may be when I go into labor this time. I guess that’s kind of an old wives’ tale, but maybe…
I’ve been feeling wonderfully lately. I’m sleeping very well at night. During the evenings I still have Braxton Hicks contractions and sometimes during the day too. I’m thankful that I’ve had such a healthy pregnancy thus far!
Ella wanted to name Guinnyth (we didn’t know what she was either) Humphrey. 🙂 lol You look beautiful in that dress. MAkes me want another baby bump.
Humphrey… too funny!
I had one of the four on a full moon 😉 my first hehe
Ooh! Good to know!
Shew, this has gone by fast! Can’t wait to see that sweet baby!
Thanks, Natalie!
