Well since it’s been… umm… four weeks since my last pregnancy update, I thought I’d go ahead and fill you in on how things are going!
Long story short, I am (I mean baby is) growing like crazy. I all of a sudden have this huge baby bump! Love it. I’m still wearing non-maternity bottoms, but half of my tops are now maternity (mostly so people can tell I am pregnant… why else would I wear shirts with side rouching?). I’m excited to get out all my dresses for later in the summer.
With the added weight in the front, I’m feeling a little off-balanced! My back is hurting as I adjust, so I probably need to do some exercises to help with that.
Baby Apricot is moving lots and I enjoy those special times throughout the day when I feel him or her moving and kicking!
At our 18 week ultrasound appointment, we stood by our decision to wait until the birth to find out the gender. Everything looked good on the ultrasound (healthy heart, brain, lungs, kidneys, etc.) and we got a great view of Apricot’s profile (sweet little lips!) and even a few waves. Vera was fascinated by the ultrasound, but CC kept asking when the baby was coming home with us. She’s still wrapping her mind around how long this process takes!
More and more each day I am grateful for the privilege to carry another child. A healthy pregnancy just isn’t a “given,” but rather a gift. I feel so thankful!
I can’t believe you are already halfway!!! This is flying by! You look so great and I am so glad you and baby are healthy and well! Praise God for that! I am the opposite of you-I have to get into maternity bottoms way before tops!
Thanks, Natalie! Well, halfway for me is more like 21 weeks, haha!! 😉
What a cute little bump!
You look so lovely 🙂
Thank you so much, Olivia!
Good for you standing by your decision to find out the gender at birth! I have always wanted to do that but have never actually done it, ha! Maybe if we ever have a fourth I will try and stick to that plan!
You look great!
*I’m a “lurker”…I read often but rarely comment. I love all your bright pictures and your posts are great too! Thanks for sharing on here!
Thanks so much for reading and commenting, Shelley! You are so kind.
