I think it stresses Tad out a bit, but Mother’s Day and my birthday usually fall within a day or two of each other. Here’s how we celebrated those special days!
After church on Mother’s Day, Tad took us to Moe’s (one of our family’s favorite restaurants when it comes to taste, kid-friendliness, healthiness, and speed of food arrival).
My sweet CC fell asleep on the way home.
Jude was happy after his nap, and enjoyed showing off how long he can sit up on his own!
Jude and CC brought me these flowers from church.
That night, Tad cooked hamburgers and corn on the cob! Such a perfect summer meal.
My birthday was last Tuesday, and Tad made my day so special! He cooked breakfast for me.
He got me a lovely bouquet of flowers. Jude had slept quite poorly the night before, so it was nice to wake up to birthday surprises!
I had all kinds of fun mail to open!
We all went out to lunch to our favorite local Italian restaurant.
I got my usual – the Philly Cheese Steak! The girls split a stromboli (their favorite).
We had salted caramel gelato for dessert. Amazing!
Tad made a delicious dinner – Chicken Parmesan and garlic bread! It’s one of the best meals he’s ever cooked.
The girls were so sweet on my birthday, singing to me and giving me lots of extra hugs and kisses.
I am so blessed so have such a thoughtful husband who made these occasions so special!
Unrelated photo but had to share… Vera thought putting this pink hat on Jude was hilarious!

Looks like a wonderful celebration! We just recently discovered Moe’s and we love it!
