I try to redeem the time as much as I can during the day, and one of the ways I do this is by doing simple one-handed tasks while I am on the telephone.
While on the phone, you can…
-water houseplants
-put away clean dishes
-throw in a load of laundry or switch laundry from the washer to the dryer
-make the bed
-straighten ANY room of the house
-carry things from the room they were in to the room in which they belong
-put letters out for the mail/check the mail
-dust
-wipe down counter-tops in the kitchen or bathroom
-organize small areas you’ve been meaning to get to (i.e., a junk drawer or your jewelry box)
-and I’m sure there are many more!
Of course, you’ll want to draw the line at things that are noisy or distracting (i.e., vacuuming) or require thought (i.e., responding to emails). ๐
How do you redeem the time during the day?

Trying to hold a cellphone between your shoulder and your ear is tricky and requires a later trip to the chiropractor! I almost lost mine in a sinkful of water yesterday, but I did find that I can snip beans and talk on the phone at the same time. ๐

Hi there! Great post! I’ve got a headset to use while on the phone, so I can have TWO hands free! It’s great! People I’m on the phone w/ are just keeping me company while I’m doing my chores!
