Less than two weeks ago, Tad’s Mustang (our primary car for day-to-day, work, ministry, and out-of-state travel) broke down about 45 minutes from our home on our way to Virginia. We were able to get it towed home inexpensively, but we have not gotten it fixed yet since we immediately jumped in the Jeep and drove to Virginia, then to Pennsylvania for a wedding, then home again and off to youth camp for a week (we took the church van to youth camp)! After that we drove to Virginia again for another wedding. We have been driving the Jeep since we’ve been back home and hoping to get the Mustang into the shop soon so they can fix it (it’s most likely an issue with the transmission).
Yesterday, we were in a nearby town buying food for a youth event and we started to have car trouble with the Jeep. Long story short, we got it to Advance Auto and I helped Tad replace the serpentine belt (which was melted/burnt/etc.). However, we ultimately discovered the real problem is a tiny broken piece called a Power Steering Pump Bracket. (Never heard of it? Me either.) Tad is trying to find the part today and hopefully install it as well.
We are trusting the Lord during this time, and we know He will continue to provide for and take care of us!

Busy times! Hope your car is has been fixed, and you are doing well. Great job identifying the problem, and learning how to self-fix it.
