We are blessed to have two guest rooms in our house right now, though we know that as more children enter our family we may not always have this luxury! For now, it is really nice to have this extra room since our families live several hours away.
We lovingly call this guest room “The Lavender Room” (can you guess why?). We will still be adding more things to the room in the future, and we will definitely be getting rid of the drab curtains!full-sized bed on one side of the room (frame loaned from Andrea)
amenities (lotions, etc.) and monogrammed towels (from Stephanie)
twin-sized “day bed” on the other side of the room
nightstand (I love English ivy!)
chair and guest notebook (filled with helpful information and local attraction fliers)

Fun! you should make little signs for each room with their name on it π
Looks like a very inviting guest room. It feels so good to have a nice peaceful space for guests to stay!
I would like to book a room, please! π
You know, with your cooking and decorating skills, you could easily run a B&B out of your home π It would be an awesome way to make a few extra $$, and maybe have a chance to get to know some new people.
Love the folder w/ local flyers idea Aliesha! So hotel-esque π Also really like the old fashioned alarm clock. Where did you find that? Hope you have a great weekend! ~Kristin from Windy Poplars
You all are too sweet! I’ve always loved the idea of running a B&B (except for the fact that I am SO not a morning person). I love entertaining and playing hostess, as well as meeting new people and cooking! Maybe once all of our children have left home and we’re all alone again we’ll open up a B&B. π
Kristin, the clock is actually from Target!
Angela, come stay with us anytime! Looking forward to your visit next week!
