Update: My dad said it is a camellia… a very confused one, since they are not supposed to bloom in January…

Peony maybe? They bloom in winter, but they aren’t usually that tall. Very pretty, whatever it is!
That’s what I meant–camellias!! I know they always have some in bloom this time of year at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens (here in Richmond).
