On Friday, Tad and I found out that the house we had under contract (and had been pursuing since August) fell through. We were disappointed, definitely, but we see this as a clear sign from God that this is not the house for us.
We started looking at other houses on the internet right away, and our realtor was able to take us inside two of them (and we drove by a third) on Saturday. A couple of the houses had potential, and there are even a few more on the market that we’re going to try and see next week.
We are trusting God’s leading and timing in our housing situation, and we are looking to Him when we feel discouraged!

sorry you all still dont have a place “of your own” yet… I know that is very difficult… we’ve been married 7 years this Jan. and we have yet to own a home of our own… we were just never financially able. You and Tad will find a special place of your own… Just may take some time.
I do think it is a very clear sign from God that this home was not for you. Despite the charm it may of had and the desire I know you had especially to have a “fixer-upper” hehe… its obvious the Lord was protecting you all from something. So I am thankful for his grace and guidance for you two.
Think of it this way tho …
you two are saving a lot!!! save save save… while you can ๐ cause once a monthly payment comes each month for a home… those savings are far and few….
Oooo and u get free cable right now, TEEHEE ๐

Oh, life is full of these disappointments!
This situation reminds me of the lyrics to a song by Phil Keaggy that I used to listen to when I was in high school.
Disappointment – His appointment,
Change one letter, then I see
That the thwarting of my purpose
Is God’s better choice for me.
His appointment must be blessing
Though it may come in disguise
For the end from the beginning,
Open to His wisdom lies.
Disappointment – His appointment
Whose? The Lord’s who loves best.
Understands and knows me fully,
Who my faith and love would test.
For like loving, earthy parent
He rejoices when He knows
That His child accepts unquestioned
All that from His wisdom flows.
Disappointment – His appointment
No good thing will he withhold
From denials oft we gather
Treasures from His love untold.
Well, He knows each broken purpose
Leads to fuller deeper trust
And the end of all His dealings
Proves our God is wise and just.
Disappointment – His appointment
Lord I take it then as such,
Like the clay in hands of potter
Yielding wholly to Thy touch
All my life’s plan is Thy molding
Not one single choice be mine
Let me answer unrepining,
Father not my will but Thine.
Let that knowlege encourage you!
Love you!
