We chose the name Cordelia Mae because we love it, but also because we love what it means!
Cordelia (edit: pronounced “cor-DEEL-yuh”) – “tenderhearted”
Ephesians 4:32, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Mae – “pearl”
Matthew 13:45-46, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.”

What a sweet name! Do you and Tad anticipate using a nickname? Cordelia has so many cute potential “shortenings”, but the name as it is is beautiful, too!
